Meet The Cookies
Debbie Wexler “Head Cookie” attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC where she received her degree in fashion design. This creative energy translated well for her when she decided to join her husband Jim Wexler in his gourmet shop in New Jersey fashioning old family recipes into contemporary cookies and desserts. Years later they moved to Florida and opened their first bakery Dessert Design. After 13 years, Debbie decided to sell in order to spend more time with her growing children. Oddly enough, it was her children who then convinced her to get back in to the baking biz and open Two Fat Cookies. Debbie has been in the business of making cookies for over thirty years and now is happy to have daughter, Zoey Wexler, by her side at Two Fat Cookies.
Since she was a little girl, Zoey Wexler “Smart Cookie” was always doodling and coloring, always very artistic. Upon graduating high school, she attended Florida State University where she received a degree in Risk Management and Insurance. After working in the insurance industry for a short period of time, she decided to move to Saratoga Springs in upstate New York to work at a gourmet market as a pastry chef. This was a passion of hers since she was a child, helping mom at the bakery. Quickly moving up the ladder to Executive Pastry Chef, Zoey was urged to move home to join the family business. Zoey has been able to transform pictures and ideas into beautiful cakes, from simple and elegant to replications of timepieces and classic guitars. She continues to thrive using her artistic ability and love for baking at Two Fat Cookies.
Husband and father Chef Jim Wexler has been a great inspiration to his family in the food service industry. From personal chef to corporate catering, to executive chef at Camp Scatico, he has been a great influence to Two Fat Cookies on both a professional and personal level. He continues to amplify the success of Two Fat Cookies with his talent and research and development.
